Laboratory of Distance learning of the Russian language and Culture for international students

In 2019 Laboratory of Distance learning of the Russian language and Culture for international students was established in International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies (order № 104-ОД dated October 4, 2019 y.).

The main areas of Study:

Distance learning of Russian as a foreign language for international students at the pre-university education (implementation management of distance learning at the pre-university education of Russian as a foreign language for international students).

Didactic features of the organization of teaching Russian as a foreign language in distance form. Elaboration of training approaches to the distance learning of Russian as a foreign language, creation of innovative methods and practical ways of distance learning. 

Study of mixed type of education during teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Elaboration of effective methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language: combination of traditional and distance form of education.

Results:

 Practice:  (use of technologies and methods of distance education at Russian and Culture classes):

1. Elaboration of training materials, which include online platforms to make an illustrative and interactive content for Russian classes.

We elaborate:

• Interactive vocabulary dictation
• Interactive educational games
• Presentation libraries on “Literature” and “Culture” courses
• Interactive educational handbooks for Russian as a foreign language in distance form

2. We make educational videos for A1 level to teach handwriting.

Original cursive handwriting workbooks.

3. Account in «Instagram» for education Russian and Culture.

Educational content on Russian and Culture for official web page of the Department of the Russian Language and General Disciplines for International Students.

4. Created a special course “Musical phonetic” for distance learning.

By providing Russian culture training were held the following activities in distance form:

1. Opened events devoted to Victory Day in Great Patriotic War – May 9:

• Opened “Victory Day’s classes”;
• “Zarnitsa” (Summer lightning) - virtual language and culture quiz;
• Online lections “Great Patriotic War’s memorials tell us about …”
• Song marathon “Victory Day’s karaoke”
• Videos, that widely distributed on social networks of universities-partners and embassies, devoted to Victory Day with the involvement of students from different countries.

2. Virtual excursions around Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Azov, Starocherkasskaya village, Novocherkassk. Excursion around Sfedu students’ campus.
3. Online lections aimed to popularize the Russian language and Russian culture, at the socio-cultural adaptation ща international students.
4. New Year festival 2021 “Russian winter”.
5. Creation of video classes.

Participation in grant:

1. Grant from the Ministry of the Education of the Russian Federation. “Titans of science and culture speak Russian” aimed to popularize the Russian language and Russian culture through the formation of the realistic image of Russia across achievements of worker of science and culture of South Russia.
